Square Enix is a dumbass company, with dumbass executives, but there doesn't seem to be anything missing from DXMD if one compares it to the average AAA game or even the last DX game. It just boggles the mind that they did, but it seems that they did. It probably was designed this way by Eidos Montréal. Jensen has every imaginable upgrade, money and gear by the latter half of the game.

The main plot will take anyone 15-20 hours to finish, the side-missions another 10-15 hours.
MANKIND DIVIDED DENUVO FULL
After all, this was a full game, content-wise. But I have yet to see definite proof that the blame for the lackluster scope of the game's story cannot be placed on Eidos Montreal for the usual reasons: Poor planning, going over budget, creative differences and re-writes (Elias did mention there had been a big re-write of the story) etc.Įidos Montréal definitely have themselves to blame for the story, the characters and the gameplay balancing - perhaps even for the game ending where it did. The split makes for a good story, and Square Enix have set themselves up as a good villain. He does say that Breach and the microtransactions were forced upon them by Square Enix, and those are obvious publisher/owner dumbfuckery. His source also couldn't confirm that the two games where originally one, which I think would be the simplest thing to do if they were. That's suspect, but having the next game start production before the current one is released isn't unheard of either. I did find a video by Jim Sterling where he talks about interviewing an anonymous Eidos Montreal developer who told him that a sequel was in development at least half a year before Mankind Divided's intended release. He says that, as far as he knows, the game ended where it was supposed to end - contradicting the notion that Square Enix forced them to cut the game in two. Many plot threads are left hanging, dropped or forgotten when the game ends - only the main thread is concluded.Ĭlick to expand.I re-read the interview, he says nothing about the game being split. Some have (rightly) pointed out that HR was more a Ghost in the Machine game than Deus Ex, this one is more Deus Ex than Ghost in the Machine, but so alone, so far from its origins and ostensible inspiration with regards to the story, that I would question if the executive producers are in fact right for the job. Very much on its own, in fact, nobody even in shouting distance. Yet, the game works as a Deus Ex game, and it stands on its own. Just like with HR, the game before this one, the creators don't seem to know what they want to do with this franchise. You do travel to different places, deal with different factions and meet different people along the way, but there is no twist, no deeper meaning, no meaningful reveal at the end.

You just solve the case, find the terrorist and the game ends. Simple enough premise and with some inspired writing, this could have been the basis for something larger, a starting point where you begin to pull the threads of the tapestry to revel something more behind the scenes. So yeah, here is hoping that SEGA will completely remove Denuvo sooner rather than later. The story itself is very basic, a terrorist bombs a train station and you are on a mission to find and stop this terrorist. This will obviously suck as Denuvo will only affect the legitimate owners of Persona 5 Strikers. My guess is that SEGA and Atlus will “ fix” this by adding Denuvo to the version that will release on February 23rd. Also, the Bethesda store version of Doom Eternal also lacked Denuvo. Additionally, the Bethesda store version of RAGE 2 did not use Denuvo. Similarly, Capcom had accidentally removed Denuvo from one of Resident Evil 2 Remake’s and Devil May Cry 5’s builds. For instance, the GOG version of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided did not have Denuvo (whereas its Steam version had it). Sometimes developers forget to implement Denuvo in specific builds of their games. We’ve seen this happening in numerous games, so it’s not really shocking us.
MANKIND DIVIDED DENUVO DOWNLOAD
The version that the Deluxe owners can download from Steam right now does not contain the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. However, and while its Steam store page lists Denuvo, it appears that the companies have released a Denuvo-free build of it. SEGA and Atlus have released Persona 5 Strikers for those that have pre-ordered its Deluxe Edition.
